Worlds 2025 – Where Mustache Legends Are Made

Worlds 2025 – Where Mustache Legends Are Made

The wait was over, and the stage was set — Worlds 2025 brought our entire Death Grip Brotherhood together in one epic celebration.

Brothers from every corner of the planet gathered for the event of the year, where style, precision, and community spirit take center stage.

Here, every detail counts, every second spent shaping, trimming, and perfecting your mustache is worth it. Not a single hair can be out of place — and if one dares to be, our community is right there, comb in hand, ready to help.

That’s what makes Worlds so special: it’s not just about competing; it’s about lifting each other up on our Brotherhood.

This year’s event was nothing short of legendary, with 436 competitors stepping onto the stage! And the mustache categories? Bigger and better than ever!

We had the categories:

Freestyle Mustache, Dali, Imperial, Hungarian, English, Musketeer, and Natural. We’re proud to say our brand was represented in every single one, with a brother on the podium every time.

If you’ve ever been to Worlds, you know the electric energy in the air and the shared joy when one of our own takes home a medal (in this case, a skateboard) it’s unforgettable. And this year, two products stood out as absolute champions:

Bone Crusher and the OG Death Grip. They were the go-to choice for many competitors, and honestly, it’s easy to see why.

Talking with the Champions: Bob and Elliothismustache

Bob took first place in the Hungary Mustache category and shared his process:

I used Sudden Death first, then OG. I think I did 3 passes of Sudden Death and raked a comb over it each pass. Then I waited about 5 minutes and after heating up the OG, I made about 2 more passes to lock it in.

He added:

I took my time. In all (mustache, outfit) it took about 40 minutes.

On earning yet another title and this incredible victory, Bob said:

It was really awesome after getting second place in 2023 in Germany to be able to get that 1st place. It felt really good. I listened to how I wanted to make my mustache this time. I really wanted to bring home a 1st in the world more for my supporters and Death Grip Wax, which has been my biggest supporter for competitions since 2020.

Talking with the Champions: Patrick Fette

Patrick took first place in English Mustache and shared his process:

I used a combination of Bone Crusher and OG Death Grip, and hairspray. And total preparation time was about 2 hours the day of the competition, but I spent countless hours in the months leading up to the competition practicing. I like to get the muscle memory down so that on the day of the competition, it feels routine and less stressful.

And about being 6 times champion in a row:
Winning 6 was great. It is wild to think how far I have come since I won my first World Title in 2013. Back then, I wasn’t married and had very few responsibilities. Now I have a wife, two amazing kids, and a very busy schedule. Getting to take a break and see everyone, especially the guys from the Death Grip Brotherhood, at Worlds was an amazing distraction from my everyday obligations. Don’t get me wrong, I love to win and love keeping the streak alive, but my biggest takeaway from the weekend was making memories with new friends and old acquaintances.

Talking with the Champions: Hunter Kelly

Hunter took first place in English Mustache and shared his process:

For worlds, I used a combination of Bone Crusher and Sudden Death. And this killer combination helped me achieve the result I wanted and keep every strand in place throughout the entire competition.

My styling took in total 3-4 hours. 3 for the original style and about an hour of touching up before walking on stage. More time than I have ever spent on a styling

And Hunter wrapped it up with this message: "I am still amazed I won 1st place at Worlds! I went up against some tough competition and as an inexperienced freestyler I was definitely nervous.

Competitors Silver Rings - 2025

For this 2025 edition, we created silver rings for our Brotherhood members who were competing and representing us. These rings were a special edition made exclusively for this year, available only to those who competed and stood on stage for us. It was our way of showing gratitude to everyone who traveled to Pittsburgh and carried our name with pride.

We’ve received many questions about these rings, and while they were originally limited to competitors, we will have a few units available on our website in the future. They will be offered at a significant value for those who didn’t earn them in the way originally intended but truly want to own one of these rings.
